MY STORY
If you've landed on this page- you're wondering who I am! My name is Sarah- only my mother calls me "Sarah Jayne" so don't worry about the middle name :) I'm a self proclaimed multi-tasking wizard with a camera in hand and a list to keep us organized in the other (I have a list for everything. I swear.)! Life is beautifully chaotic for me- as a mom to three amazing kids, a registered nurse in a bustling pediatric ER, and a military wife married to my high school sweetheart! Oh, and let's not forget my unofficial title: dog rescuer extraordinaire. I've been known to steal boxer puppies from Taco Casa on the side of I-20 (seriously, she's my favorite- don't tell the kids!). If there's a stray pup within a 10-mile radius, they're probably on my coach right now.
My photography journey began 13 years ago after a less-than-magical mall photo session with my firstborn. The results were... let's just say "character-building," and I knew even I could do better than that. Thats when my love for photography blossomed, capturing life's candid, authentic moments for families. Two years ago when a friend asked me to photographer her elopement, I jumped at the opportunity. I fell in love with wedding photography and haven't looked back since.
As your photographer, I'm all about creating a laidback vibe while keeping the day running smoothly. Think of me as your behind-the-scenes ninja, capturing the magic without being the center of attention. Its your day, and my job is to help you live it to the fullest while persevering every smile, laugh, and happy tear.
When I'm not chasing golden light (or golden retrievers) or editing galleries, you'll find me in my kitchen nursing my sourdough baby, Gloria, carting children to and from sports or ballet, volunteering at school or at extracurricular activities. My life is a beautiful mix of chaos, love and laughter, and I can't wait to help you capture yours!
